Victor Osimhen remains open to Arsenal move after Galatasaray draw

Victor Osimhen has refused to rule out a move away from Galatasaray amid interest from Arsenal. The Nigerian international spoke to local media following a 2-2 draw against Corum FK, where he scored twice after coming off the bench.

When questioned about potential departures, the 27-year-old stated that transfer rumours are common during the season. He noted that his current focus remains on his work but added that he will consider his future in due course. This response suggests the striker is not closing the door on a move, despite being under contract in Istanbul until 2029.

Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign the forward to strengthen their attacking options. The Gunners have shifted their attention to Osimhen as an elite alternative following Vinícius Júnior's extension at Real Madrid and Julián Alvarez's interest in Barcelona. While Arsenal have not yet submitted a formal bid, Galatasaray are seeking a fee of at least €70m.

George Gardi, who facilitated Osimhen's move from Napoli to Galatasaray in 2024, is acting as an intermediary in the current negotiations. Gardi has been involved in discussions regarding the striker's potential move to the Emirates. He previously invited Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta and head scout Maurizio Micheli to Istanbul for a derby match in April.

Galatasaray and Arsenal have also held discussions regarding Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri. These talks provided an opportunity for the Turkish club to discuss the transfer of Osimhen to the north London side.
