John Dumelo to join JoySports Invitational Tournament 2026 in Ghana

John Dumelo will join the JoySports Invitational Tournament 2026 in Ghana on Saturday, August 29. The Ayawaso West Wuogon MP is scheduled to take part in the health walk beginning at 6:00 am.

The walk will start at the University of Ghana Stadium, pass through the campus to Balme Library and finish back at the stadium. Dumelo’s participation will open a full day of sporting activities involving companies, institutions, corporate leaders, employees and other sports enthusiasts.

An aerobic session is planned for the Legon Stadium car park at 6:40 am, followed by the official opening ceremony at 7:30 am. Competitive events are due to begin at 8:00 am, with corporate teams taking part in football, chess, table tennis, scrabble, draughts, ludo and other disciplines.

The programme will also include swimming, the CEO Penalty Shootout and the Ladies Penalty Shootout. Further football and novelty events will take place in the afternoon before the football final, scheduled for between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Teams will compete for prizes across the different activities, with awards also set aside for outstanding performers. The tournament gives participating companies and institutions an opportunity to pursue fitness, teamwork and networking beyond their normal workplace activities.

The 2026 edition continues the event’s place on Ghana’s corporate sporting calendar. Dumelo’s appearance adds a public figure to a programme built around mass participation, multiple sports and competition between workplace teams at the University of Ghana.
