Juanma López, Fenómeno Cruz make weight for Bayamón main event

Juan Manuel López weighed 144.8 pounds and Orlando Cruz 142.2 ahead of Saturday’s Noche de Campeones main event in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.

Juan Manuel “Juanma” López weighed 144.8 pounds, while Orlando “Fenómeno” Cruz came in at 142.2 ahead of their main event in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The bout headlines Saturday’s Noche de Campeones – Juanma vs Fenómeno card at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez.

The two Puerto Rican former world champions will meet after López entered the contest with a 36-6-1 record, including 32 victories by knockout. Cruz has a professional record of 25-7-2, with 13 wins inside the distance.

The supporting programme also produced a series of close weigh-ins. William “Willito” Ortiz registered 147 pounds and Ignacio “Kinito” Peralta 145.8, while Juan “Juancito” Zayas weighed 120 and Clayton Ward 120.6.

Mathew “Sugar Kid” Soto was listed at 142 pounds against Mojeed Seriki at 141.8. Manuel “El Feroz” Febus weighed 133.8 ahead of Jorge “Mamba” Vizcarrondo at 134.8, and Yandiel “Chinito” Lozano came in at 127.4 compared with Luis Verdugo’s 127.

The card also includes a contest in the 200-plus-pound division between William Cruz and RKM. Cruz weighed 202.2 pounds, while RKM registered 207.8. The opening fights are scheduled to begin at 7pm, with the venue due to open at 5.30pm.

Noche de Campeones – Juanma vs Fenómeno will be shown live on pay-per-view from 8pm. The event will take place on Saturday, 29 August, at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez in Bayamón.
