Khamalatha wins Blantyre Winter Tour Golf Championship with 155

Victor Khamalatha won the second Blantyre Sports Club Winter Tour Golf Championship with a total gross score of 155. He finished two shots ahead of Gabriel Kambale to take the title at the two-day event.

Kambale placed second in the championship category, while Mike Juma completed the top three. Juma was another two shots behind Kambale, leaving a four-shot gap between the winner and third place in a tightly contested leaderboard.

The championship category featured 17 golfers. Khamalatha’s victory put him at the top of the main competition, with the two-shot margin over Kambale separating the leading pair after two days of play.

There were also winners in the other divisions. Rashid Salim took the professionals’ category, Samuel Debwe finished first in Division A and Innocent Mkandawire won Division B. Satakwao Zuze claimed the ladies’ title.

Rainbow Paints Limited supported the tournament as platinum sponsor, with OH Wines and Oranux IT Consulting serving as partners. The event formed part of Blantyre Sports Club’s golfing calendar and brought together competitors across several categories.

Rainbow Paints corporate sales manager Farouk Jungu and Oranux senior sales and marketing consultant Tammie-rose Chimbenje welcomed their companies’ involvement after the tournament. The championship is set to remain an annual fixture at the club, with expectations of continued growth and competitive participation across its divisions.
