Miledzi to face undefeated Avdic in Austria on September 12
Ghanaian boxer Delali Miledzi seeks to end his winless streak abroad when he fights IBF international champion Edin Avdic in Tyrol next month.
Delali Miledzi will attempt to end a series of losses outside of Ghana when he fights Edin Avdic in Austria on September 12. The 10-round international super middleweight contest is scheduled to take place in Uderns, Tyrol.
Miledzi, a former WBA Pan African and West Africa champion, enters the bout with a professional record of 31 wins, one draw, and three defeats. All three of his career losses occurred in foreign rings. His most recent setbacks were against Milorad Zizic in Montenegro in May this year and Ali Akhmedov in Kazakhstan last December. Prior to those, he lost to Paulinus Ndjolonimu in Namibia in 2022.
His opponent, Edin Avdic, remains undefeated with 16 wins from 16 fights since his professional debut in 2021. The 30-year-old IBF international super middleweight champion holds an 11-knockout record and is currently on a seven-fight knockout streak that began in June 2024. Avdic's last victory was a first-round stoppage of Juan Narvaez in June.
The 34-year-old Ghanaian believes he is prepared to overcome the undefeated Austrian to secure a future world championship opportunity. Miledzi stated that while Avdic has a strong record, he has not yet faced an opponent of Miledzi's caliber. He expressed confidence in the strategy and preparation provided by his coaching team.
Managed by Anthony Kermah of Landmark Promotions, Miledzi has recorded 24 knockouts in his career. He has promised his supporters in Ghana that he will deliver a victory to move toward larger professional goals.
