Monaco reject €60m figure for Lamine Camara amid interest

Monaco will require a substantial offer exceeding €60m to sell Lamine Camara this summer. The Ligue 1 club has already rejected a €35m bid from Crystal Palace for the 22-year-old midfielder.

Several Premier League sides have expressed interest in the player, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Nottingham Forest. While Manchester United have been waiting to make an approach, Nottingham Forest previously moved for the midfielder following Crystal Palace's rejected attempt.

Camara is not attempting to force a transfer away from the club. He has been seen enjoying pre-season training with his teammates at St. George’s Park and is reportedly open to staying at Monaco for a third year.

Monaco appear to be following a specific strategy to increase the player's market value. The club aims to mirror the recent departure of Maghnes Akliouche, who stayed at Monaco for a year before joining Paris Saint-Germain.

By retaining Camara for another season, Monaco intend to boost his valuation before considering a sale. For now, both the player and the club seem aligned on remaining together.
