NPFL: Al-Jabalain sign Salisu from Ranchers Bees ahead of 2026-27
Kabiru Salisu has left NPFL newcomers Ranchers Bees for Saudi club Al-Jabalain after helping the Kaduna side secure promotion last season.
Kabiru Salisu has moved from Nigeria Premier Football League club Ranchers Bees to Saudi Arabian side Al-Jabalain. The transfer comes after Salisu played an important part in Ranchers Bees’ promotion to the NPFL last season.
The Kaduna-based club will now have to plan for life without a player who contributed to their return to Nigeria’s top flight. Salisu’s departure also gives Al-Jabalain a player with recent experience of a promotion campaign in Nigerian football.
Ranchers Bees are expected to seek a replacement before the 2026-27 NPFL season begins. The club’s recruitment plans will come as they prepare for their first league fixture after earning promotion.
Their opening match is scheduled against Ikorodu City on Sunday, August 30. The game will be played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, giving Ranchers Bees an immediate test as they begin their NPFL campaign.
Salisu’s move therefore links his promotion-winning spell in Nigeria with a new chapter in Saudi Arabia. For Ranchers Bees, the priority is to fill the gap created by his exit before the season starts and ensure the squad is ready for the opening fixture.
The transfer is one of the early changes around Ranchers Bees as the club prepares to compete in the NPFL. Salisu leaves after helping secure the achievement that brought the Kaduna side into the division, while Al-Jabalain become his next club.
