Rakel FA coach targets FEMMCO 2026 double after U-15 triumph

Rakel FA coach Adeyinka Ogundeyi is targeting a second trophy in the U-17 category after his academy won the FEMMCO U-15 title.

Rakel Football Academy have won the U-15 title at the FEMMCO Football Championship August Camping 2026 and are now chasing a second trophy in the U-17 category. Coach Adeyinka Ogundeyi has made the academy’s ambition clear as his team prepares for its U-17 semi-final.

The U-15 success followed a strong campaign from Rakel FA, who secured the championship through consistent performances and effective football. Ogundeyi said the achievement reflected the players’ commitment, the work carried out by the academy and the quality they showed during the competition.

For the coach, the title has been an important experience for both the team and its staff. He described the tournament as demanding but said Rakel FA’s discipline, effort and approach to the game helped them overcome the challenge and finish as champions.

Rakel FA remain active in another age group and have turned their attention to the U-17 semi-final. Ogundeyi wants the players to remain focused on that match and carry the confidence from the U-15 triumph into their next campaign at the championship.

A victory in the U-17 category would give Rakel FA two titles from the same competition. Ogundeyi believes the academy has the resolve required to complete that achievement, although the team must first secure its place in the final.

The coach also praised the tournament’s contribution to grassroots football. He highlighted the organisation of the event, the standard of the competition, and the accommodation and reception provided to participating teams.

Ogundeyi said competitions of this kind deserve broader backing from people and organisations involved in football. He also indicated that Rakel FA intend to return when the championship is held again next year, with the academy seeking to build on its success across the two age categories.
