Osasuna sign Ghanaian defender Rockson Yeboah from Goteborg

Osasuna have completed the signing of Ghanaian defender Rockson Yeboah from IFK Goteborg. The Spanish club paid a transfer fee of €3m to secure the player on 12 August 2026.

The 22-year-old right-footed defender has committed to a long-term contract with the La Liga side. His new deal at Osasuna is set to run until 30 June 2031, providing the club with five years of service from the player.

Born in Berekum, Yeboah arrives in Spain following a period in Sweden's Allsvenskan. He played every minute of Goteborg's three recent UEFA Conference League qualifying matches, totaling 300 minutes on the pitch. During those three starts, he did not record any goals or assists, and he avoided any disciplinary bookings or sending-offs.

Yeboah, who stands 1.89m tall, has primarily operated as a centre-back. He joined Goteborg from the Ghanaian side YAP FC in August 2024. Prior to his move to Sweden, he spent a portion of the 2023-24 season on loan at AEK Athens B. He returned to YAP FC at the conclusion of that loan spell before making the move to the Swedish league.

This transfer represents a move from the Swedish top flight to the Spanish top flight at the start of the 2026-27 season. His recorded market value was €300,000 at the time of the €3m transaction.
