Rangers have completed the signing of midfielder Ifeanyi Okechukwu from Nasarawa United. The Flying Antelopes secured the player to bolster their squad before the upcoming campaign.
Okechukwu arrives at the club following a six-month period with the Solid Miners. During his time at Nasarawa United, he made 13 appearances in competitive matches. This move follows a relatively short tenure with the Nasarawa side.
The midfielder brings experience from previous stints with other Nigerian clubs. He has previously represented both Enyimba and Niger Tornadoes during his career. His history in the league provides the new club with a player familiar with the domestic top flight.
Fidelis Ilechukwu will now have additional personnel to choose from in the center of the pitch. The addition is intended to provide more depth for the midfield department as the team prepares for the rigours of the new season.
Rangers are the current champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League. The club is preparing to attempt to defend their league title in the next season. The acquisition of Okechukwu is part of the squad adjustments made to support that objective.
