Real Betis consider loan move for Tottenham forward Mathys Tel

Real Betis are exploring a potential loan deal for Tottenham attacker Mathys Tel to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

Real Betis are considering a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Mathys Tel. The Spanish side is searching for new forward options and has identified the 21-year-old Frenchman as a potential target.

While Santiago Giménez and Arnaud Kalimuendo are currently higher on the Betis shortlist, Tel remains a possibility for Manuel Pellegrini’s squad. The club may approach Tottenham to discuss a temporary transfer. This move is viewed as a way to provide the player with consistent playing time, which could increase his market value.

Betis believe Tel would receive significant minutes under Pellegrini. His situation at Tottenham is influenced by the club's lack of European football this season. Although Tel started frequently last season and has featured heavily in pre-season, he is not viewed as an undisputed starter for the North London side.

Tottenham's current injury situation makes a departure difficult. The club is currently short on attacking players, and Tel is one of the few senior options available. Any decision regarding his future likely depends on whether Tottenham secures new attacking reinforcements before the window shuts.

There are currently no advanced talks or formal offers on the table. Tel has been linked with interest from Porto and Galatasaray in recent weeks, but those situations have not progressed. A move to La Liga would only become a realistic option if Tottenham strengthens their own attacking department first.
