Reboost gives Baller Boys Academy N$10,000 equipment sponsorship
Namibia’s Baller Boys Football Academy has received N$10,000 in equipment from Reboost to support its four MTC Hopsol Youth League teams.
Baller Boys Football Academy has received football equipment valued at N$10,000 from Reboost in Windhoek, strengthening its preparation for the MTC Hopsol Youth League. The sponsorship was handed over on Monday afternoon.
The package includes a new playing kit, mini markers, cones, poles, bibs, water bottles and footballs. The academy fields teams in the Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 categories in the youth competition.
Moses Haimbodi, a Reboost sales representative with Supra Sales, said the academy’s football showed promise but its equipment was not sufficient. The sponsorship was provided through the company’s community support efforts, with the aim of encouraging the young players to continue working towards their goals.
Baller Boys Under-19 head coach Benjamin Iiyambo said the academy was grateful for the assistance. He said the equipment would strengthen the programme’s sense of purpose and help the coaches encourage players to remain committed while developing their football.
The academy’s work extends beyond training and competition. Every player is bound by an education commitment, and members are expected to maintain an average of at least 60 per cent at school if they are to remain with the team.
Iiyambo said the academic requirement reflects the limited length of a football career. The academy therefore wants its players to prepare for another ambition alongside their sporting development, while also building confidence in their ability and that of their teammates.
