Rob Servais praises Roda JC signing of Jeremiah Mensah

Roda JC technical manager Rob Servais has welcomed the arrival of midfielder Jeremiah Mensah on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

Roda JC technical manager Rob Servais has expressed his satisfaction following the loan acquisition of midfielder Jeremiah Mensah. The 18-year-old arrives at the Eerste Divisie side from Bayer Leverkusen on a deal that lasts for the entire season.

Servais highlighted the specific tactical profile of the German-born player. He described Mensah as a creative left-footed midfielder who is most effective when playing in the position behind the striker. The technical manager noted that the club is pleased that Bayer Leverkusen has chosen to entrust the player to them for the year.

Mensah has been part of the Bayer Leverkusen setup since he was seven years old. He secured his first professional contract with the Bundesliga club in April, a deal that runs until mid-2031. The loan move is intended to provide the teenager with consistent first-team experience to aid his development.

While the midfielder has represented Germany at various youth levels, including the U-17 World Cup and the U-17 European Championship, he remains eligible for Ghana through his parents. This heritage makes him a potential prospect for the Black Stars in the future.

The attacking midfielder will now join his new teammates to prepare for the upcoming campaign.
