Santiago Bueno open to Premier League move from Wolves

Santiago Bueno is prepared to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer if a suitable Premier League club offers him a move. The Uruguay international has expressed a desire to remain in the top division next season by joining a high-quality side.

The 27-year-old centre-back joined Wolves from Girona in 2023. After a difficult first season in England, he has become a regular fixture in the team during the current 2024/25 campaign. During his previous season, he recorded 34 appearances, contributing four goals and two assists.

Several Premier League teams have previously inquired about the defender's availability. Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Brentford, and West Ham United all made contact regarding his situation in April. However, no formal bids have been submitted to secure his services so far.

A move to West Ham United is no longer possible as both the Hammers and Wolves have moved into the Championship. While interest from other English clubs exists, there have been no concrete developments to facilitate a transfer.

Bueno is currently under contract with Wolves until 2028. His market value is estimated at €10m, though any interested club would be required to pay a fee exceeding that amount to secure his signature. If a move to a top-tier club does not materialise, the defender will stay at Molineux.
