Sevilla unveil Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Abrokwa on long-term deal
Sevilla have signed 18-year-old Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Abrokwa from Adabraka Elders on a contract running until June 2029.
Sevilla have signed Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Abrokwa on a contract that runs until June 2029. The 18-year-old becomes the first Ghanaian player to sign for the LaLiga club.
Abrokwa completed the move after arriving in Spain on Saturday and was subsequently presented as a Sevilla player. He joins the club’s youth setup rather than the senior squad.
The winger moved from Adabraka Elders, a club based in Accra, Ghana’s capital. His transfer follows his departure from the Ghanaian side in July and marks the latest step in his development in Spain.
Sevilla’s senior team began the 2026 LaLiga campaign with a 2-1 victory and sit third with three points from one match. Their league record is one win, no draws and no defeats, with two goals scored and one conceded.
Their wider recent form includes wins over AD Ceuta FC and Juventud Torremolinos, a goalless draw at Cordoba, and defeats against Cracovia Krakow and Celta de Vigo. Those results underline a mixed run around the start of the new season, despite the positive league opening.
Sevilla’s next LaLiga fixture is away to Athletic Club on August 22, 2026. Abrokwa will begin his time at the club within the youth structure as Sevilla continue their campaign.
