Simba Queens face Kenya Police Bullets in CAF Women’s Champions League

Simba Queens take a 2-0 advantage into their CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Regional Qualifiers meeting with Kenya Police Bullets in Kigali on August 24, 2026. The Tanzanian side opened Group C by beating Burundi’s Top Girls Academy and now have the chance to strengthen their position at the top.

Group C contains only three teams, with the winner earning the CECAFA zone’s sole place at the main 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League tournament. That structure leaves little room for a team to drop points, particularly for Police Bullets after Simba’s opening victory.

A second win would move Simba Queens to six points and secure first place in the group, giving the Tanzanian champions control of the race for qualification. Their 2-0 result against Top Girls Academy has already placed them in a strong position before the Kenyan side’s first match.

Kenya Police Bullets arrive as champions of the Kenyan Women’s Premier League. The technical bench, led by Rama Vijago, must now produce a result against Simba to keep the group contest open and maintain the campaign for a place among Africa’s leading women’s clubs.

Victory for Police Bullets would prevent Simba from closing out the group at the top and give the Kenyan champions an important boost in Rwanda.
