Special Eagles to represent Nigeria at Amputee Football World Cup

The Special Eagles are determined to represent Nigeria with pride at the upcoming 20th Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico, according to Nigeria Amputee Football Federation (NAFF) President Prince Opukiri Jones-Ere.

The global championship is scheduled to take place in San Juan de los Lagos from November 13 to November 22. To prepare for the tournament, the national team has increased the intensity of their training sessions.

Currently, 15 players are participating in the team camp located in Abuja. An additional six players are expected to arrive and join the squad shortly. The training programme is being conducted at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

Head coach Gbenga Dosunmu is leading the training routines for the squad. He is working alongside the federation's technical director, Victor Nwenwe, who is providing close observation to ensure the players are ready for the competition.

Prince Jones-Ere noted that the players are committed and in high spirits during their preparations. He confirmed that both the head coach and the technical director are present to oversee the team's progress. The federation plans to increase the scale of preparations in the weeks leading up to the November tournament.
