Taylor-Pili Dublin fight week schedule confirmed for September 5

Katie Taylor and Flora Pili will complete their fight-week preparations in Dublin before meeting for the undisputed super-lightweight championship at Croke Park on Saturday, September 5. The event is expected to be staged in front of 80,000 people, with live coverage worldwide on DAZN and non-exclusive coverage in Ireland on RTÉ.

The schedule begins on Tuesday, September 1, when Taylor and the unbeaten French challenger appear at the main-event press conference in Mahony Hall at The Helix. The public event starts at 4pm, following media arrivals from 3pm, and tickets are available through the venue.

Taylor and Pili will return to The Helix on Wednesday for an open workout involving fighters from the card. The session starts at 6pm, with media access from 5.15pm, and is also open to ticketed members of the public.

The undercard press conference follows on Thursday, September 3, at 1pm in The Helix Theatre. It is restricted to media and will feature Dave Allen, Thomas Carty, Paddy Donovan, Tyrone McKenna, Taylor Bevan, Emmet Brennan, Molly McCann, Sylwia Doligala, Joe McGrail, Matthew Boreland, Adam Olaniyan, Matej Hudak, Bobbi Flood, Jack Swallow, Paul Ryan and Paddy Gallagher.

Friday’s ceremonial weigh-in will take place at Trinity College Dublin, beginning at 6pm. The historic university, founded in 1592 and home to the Book of Kells, gave Taylor an honorary degree earlier this summer. She will return to the campus for the final face-off with Pili before what has been identified as her last professional boxing bout.

Fight day will also include a 5km event at Ellenfield Park, with participants due to meet at 8am. Matchroom Boxing is delivering the week with Aiken Promotions and Brian Peters. The Croke Park headline fight will be Taylor’s first professional appearance in the Irish venue, while Pili enters the contest unbeaten.
