Teremoana maintains perfect knockout record with Savage win

Teremoana Teremoana extended his perfect knockout record to 12 consecutive wins following a second-round stoppage of DeAndre Savage. The Australian heavyweight improved his professional record to 12-0 with 12 knockouts after the bout at The Star Gold Coast.

Savage entered the contest with an 11-1 record, having secured all 11 of his victories by knockout. However, the American could not withstand a second-round barrage from Teremoana, which left him unable to beat the count.

Following the victory, Teremoana suggested he could appear on the undercard for the Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua fight. He noted that he had heard rumors of a potential spot on that card, stating that the heavyweight division is currently transitioning between generations.

Promoter Eddie Hearn expressed strong belief in the Australian's potential to become a mainstream heavyweight superstar. Hearn suggested that Teremoana has the capacity to bring world heavyweight boxing to Australia.

This victory follows a period of significant momentum for Teremoana, including an eighth first-round knockout in March against Curtis Harper. While the level of opposition is expected to rise, Teremoana has yet to see a fight reach the final bell.
