Thomas Kwabena Osae to join FC AshantiGold on permanent deal

FC AshantiGold are preparing to finalize a permanent transfer for goalkeeper Thomas Kwabena Osae. The 23-year-old shot-stopper is expected to complete the move from Heart of Lions in the coming days.

Osae spent the 2025/26 season on a season-long loan at the Obuasi-based club. He originally arrived at FC AshantiGold in August 2025, a move that was sanctioned by Heart of Lions to provide the player with regular Division One League experience.

His time with the Miners was marked by consistent appearances and strong performances. Osae demonstrated composure and effective shot-stopping throughout his loan period. These displays have led FC AshantiGold to pursue a permanent agreement to secure his services.

Before his loan move, the goalkeeper had developed a reputation as a rising talent at Heart of Lions. This included a Man of the Match award during a Ghana Premier League fixture against Asante Kotoko.

Heart of Lions confirmed his return from his loan spell in May 2026. Following that return, the two clubs reached an agreement for a permanent transfer, allowing the goalkeeper to remain with FC AshantiGold on a long-term basis.
