Tommy Morrison’s son reveals past health crisis as brother fights cancer
Trey Lippe Morrison says he has died twice as he backs brother Kenzie, who is seeking urgent specialist treatment for stomach cancer.
Trey Lippe Morrison has disclosed that he survived two incidents in which he believes he died, while calling for support for his brother Kenzie Morrison as he battles stomach cancer. Trey made the revelation while urging people to pray for Kenzie, who is 36 and seeking specialist care.
The brothers, both sons of former heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison, have experienced tensions over the years. Trey has now made clear that those disagreements have been set aside because of Kenzie’s illness, saying his priority is for his brother to recover and remain with the family.
Trey did not explain when the two incidents occurred or what caused them. He has generally kept details of his own health private, although he suffered serious injuries in a 2023 car crash that raised doubts about his boxing future.
Kenzie’s boxing career was also disrupted by injuries and long periods away from competition. Both brothers entered the sport carrying the Morrison name and developed reputations for punching power, but neither established the career momentum that had once been expected of them.
Kenzie disclosed his diagnosis after dealing with stomach and back problems for about a month. In a further update, he indicated that treatment was urgent, saying there was still a chance to act but that time was limited as he looked for specialist help.
Trey has continued to emphasise his faith while asking people to share news of Kenzie’s situation and believe in his recovery. He has also promised to remain beside his brother throughout the illness, putting their past differences behind them as Kenzie faces the most serious challenge of his life.
