UFC star pays $5k after Contender Series winner scores a KO

Kaik Brito received $5,000 from a UFC star after knocking out Namo Fazil at Dana White’s Contender Series on August 18, 2026.

Kaik Brito received $5,000 from a UFC star after knocking out Namo Fazil at Dana White’s Contender Series on August 18, 2026. Brito finished the welterweight bout with a right hand at 12 seconds of the third round.

The payment followed Brito’s victory over Fazil, who had drawn attention with unusual callouts aimed at Nate Diaz and Arman Tsarukyan. The UFC star’s identity was not given, but the reward was tied directly to Brito stopping the fighter who had made those comments.

Brito was one of six fighters awarded UFC contracts during Season 10, Week 2. The episode was held at the Meta Apex and marked the opening event of the 2026 campaign. The show is broadcast live on Paramount+ in the United States and SportsNet in Canada.

The victory also gave Brito a successful return to the Contender Series. He was among five fighters on the card who had previously appeared on the programme, making the episode an opportunity for several competitors to secure another chance after earlier setbacks.

Brito entered the bout as a former two-time Oktagon MMA champion. His win over Fazil was the sixth and final contract-winning performance of the evening, following victories by Trent Miller, Cristian Perez, Alik Lorenz, Roman Puga and Taner Trembley.

Miller defeated Douglas Rodrigues by Von Flue choke in the second round, while Perez stopped Logan Paxton in the same round. Lorenz needed 2:23 of the opening round to defeat Mahamed Aly, and Puga and Trembley both earned contracts after their unanimous decision. Brito’s knockout remained the night’s final result and brought the extra $5,000 reward.
