Cesar Peixoto's Wolves begin their 2026/27 Championship campaign at Molineux against Blackburn Rovers this Friday evening.
Wolves will kick off their 2026/27 Championship season at Molineux this Friday evening. Cesar Peixoto's side hosts Blackburn Rovers in an 8pm fixture to mark the start of the new campaign.
This opening match serves as the beginning of the club's 150th anniversary season. To celebrate the milestone, the official matchday programme features an 84-page edition including a history section by Pete Crump, interviews with Adam Armstrong, Cesar Peixoto, Andre, and Dan Bentley, and features on Mateus Mane and Hugo Bueno. The programme also includes a tribute to Phil Parkes.
Fans attending the match can visit the new Wolves Fanzone at The Halls, which serves as the official pre-match venue. The North Bank Bar next to Block ND of the Stan Cullis Stand will open at 6pm for members and season ticket holders, reopening for one hour after the game. The Century Lounge will also be available, providing an accessible space with toilets and seating for disabled supporters.
Matchday logistics include security checks and bag searches at the turnstiles. Supporters are prohibited from bringing bags larger than A4 into the stadium, and those aged 14 and older will undergo searches by stewards. The Molineux Megastore and the ticket office will be open on Friday, with the ticket office operating from 3pm until just after kick-off.
Weather forecasts for the evening suggest cloudy conditions with temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius. While no travel disruption is expected, supporters are encouraged to use public transport to avoid congestion. Road closures will be implemented for safety, and official parking spaces can be booked in advance.
Tickets remain available for general sale to those with accounts registered before 21st July 2026. Season ticket holders must use smartcards for entry, while other fans can use Print at Home tickets or QR codes on mobile devices.
