Wolves teenager Conor McLeod joins Falkirk on season-long loan

Conor McLeod has joined Scottish Premiership club Falkirk on a season-long loan after agreeing a contract extension with Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 19-year-old’s new Wolves deal runs for one year and contains an option for a further season.

The move gives McLeod the chance to play senior football after beginning the campaign with Wolves’ under-21 side. He scored twice in their opening fixture, a match against Burnley, before completing his switch north of the border.

McLeod joined Wolves’ professional ranks in 2023, when he signed his first senior contract with the club. His latest extension keeps him tied to Wolves while allowing Falkirk to use him during the season.

The loan is intended to provide the teenager with regular first-team experience. He could be involved for Falkirk this weekend when they face Celtic, although his debut is not confirmed.

McLeod is also part of a wider group of Wolves under-21 players who have agreed fresh terms with the club during the summer. His contract decision therefore combines a longer-term commitment to Wolves with an immediate opportunity to develop in the Scottish Premiership.

Falkirk’s move adds a senior football pathway for McLeod after his productive opening appearance at under-21 level. His two goals against Burnley provided an early indication of his form before the temporary move was completed.
