Yanga Princesses expand Ugandan contingent to four for new season

Young Africans Women, known as Yanga Princesses, have taken their Ugandan contingent to four players during the ongoing transfer window. Goalkeeper Molly Nabitaka and midfielder Resty Kobusobozi are the latest additions as the club prepares for the new season.

Nabitaka joins from She Corporate after a strong campaign that earned her the goalkeeper of the 2025/26 season award. Her arrival gives Yanga another Ugandan option in goal as the Tanzanian side continues to reshape its squad.

Kobusobozi moves to Yanga Princesses from Lady Doves. The diminutive midfielder joins Nabitaka as part of the latest recruitment activity by the club, which has been active across the transfer market.

The first Ugandan signing was left-back Sumaya Komuntale, who also arrived from She Corporate. She agreed a two-year contract with Yanga, becoming the initial addition in a growing group of Ugandan players at the club.

Combative midfielder Joan Nabirye was the second Ugandan recruited by Young Africans Women. With Nabitaka and Kobusobozi now added, the club has four players from Uganda ahead of the new season.

Yanga’s restructuring has also brought in players from several other countries. Ethiopian defender Mesay Temesgen is among the newcomers, alongside Sandrine Mutuyimana, Semeni Juma, Fatuma Aron, Vera Afful and Salamata Kouanda. The expanding squad reflects the scale of the changes being made by the Tanzanian club.
