AC Milan approve permanent move for Victor Eletu to Pescara
Nigerian U20 midfielder Victor Eletu is set to join Pescara on a permanent transfer after AC Milan greenlit the deal.
AC Milan have approved the permanent transfer of Nigerian U20 midfielder Victor Eletu to Pescara. The 21-year-old is expected to undergo a medical examination later this week to finalise his move to the Italian third-division side.
The transfer process had reached an advanced stage approximately two weeks ago. However, the move was subsequently halted by AC Milan, which resulted in the midfielder returning to the club to participate in pre-season training. No specific reason was provided for the decision to pause the negotiations at that time.
Following the recent decision to allow the player to leave, the move will be a permanent departure from the Milan squad. As part of the agreement, AC Milan will maintain a percentage of any future sale involving the midfielder, a detail that was made public during the reporting of the deal.
Eletu has a long history with the Italian giants, having joined the club when he was 14 years old. He spent his formative years progressing through the various levels of the AC Milan youth academy system.
His development at the club eventually led to international recognition. Three years ago, his performances earned him a place in the Nigerian squad for the U20 World Cup.
