Albert Amoah completes move from Asante Kotoko to Hajer FC

Former Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has joined Saudi Arabian club Hajer FC. The club officially confirmed the signing of the Ghanaian forward on Friday, August 14, 2026.

Amoah will compete in the Saudi First Division League, commonly referred to as the Yelo League, during the 2026/27 campaign. The 24-year-old arrives in Saudi Arabia following several seasons as a prominent striker in the Ghana Premier League.

During his time in the Ghanaian top flight, the forward recorded 21 goals in 52 appearances. His tenure at Asante Kotoko included a notable performance on the final day of the 2024/25 season, where he scored a hat-trick during a 3-2 win against Medeama.

Upon completing the transfer, Amoah noted the global attention currently surrounding the development of football in Saudi Arabia. He stated that he is happy to join the league and expressed his desire to find success and secure victories with Hajer this season.

Hajer expects the striker's movement, physical strength, and goalscoring record to improve their attacking options. Amoah will now begin his pre-season preparations as he prepares for his first professional experience in the Saudi Arabian football system.
