Arsenal invite offers for Martinelli and Nwaneri
Arsenal have opened the door for potential departures of Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri as the club seeks to be active in the transfer market.
Arsenal have invited offers for Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri during the current transfer window. The Gunners are holding discussions with Galatasaray regarding the sale of several squad members to the Turkish club.
Brazil international Martinelli has received a verbal offer of €45m (£38.5m), but the 25-year-old forward is reportedly hesitant about a move to Turkey. While Paris Saint-Germain showed tentative interest in the winger in recent weeks, the French club has since shifted its focus to other targets.
Nineteen-year-old Ethan Nwaneri is also available for sale. The England Under-21 international has attracted interest from several European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig, AC Milan, and Fulham.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta and his assistant Maurizio Michele are working to ensure the club acts as sellers this summer. They are utilizing established connections in Turkey to facilitate these deals. Discussions between the two clubs have also involved the future of Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen.
These potential sales follow the departure of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas in a deal worth a maximum of £17m. The club is currently on track to raise approximately £45m from the sales of Trossard, Jakub Kiwior, Christian Norgaard, and Karl Hein.
Further movement is expected as Arsenal negotiate with West Ham over winger Reiss Nelson, a deal that could yield £3m. Other players who could leave the club include Gabriel Jesus and Fábio Vieira, while Martin Zubimendi is attracting interest in Spain.
