AS Trencin sign Ghanaian midfielder Clement Ansah on free transfer
AS Trencin have completed the signing of 21-year-old central midfielder Clement Ansah from Dunajska Streda on a contract until June 2027.
AS Trencin have secured the services of Ghanaian central midfielder Clement Ansah. The 21-year-old joins the club on a free transfer from Dunajska Streda, having signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2027.
Ansah remains in the Slovak Nike Liga following his departure from Dunajska Streda. While he was part of the Dunajska Streda squad, he did not feature in any Nike Liga matches or the UEFA Conference League qualifying rounds before this move.
The right-footed midfielder, who stands 1.85m tall, was born in Tema, Ghana. His career path has seen him move through several countries since beginning his senior football in Ghana with Tudu Mighty Jet and Bofoakwa Tano, where he played in July 2023.
This move to AS Trencin represents Ansah's third club change since the start of 2024. It is also his second consecutive transfer completed on a free basis. His previous club, Dunajska Streda, had signed him from North Macedonian side FC Shkupi in August 2025.
Before his time in Slovakia, Ansah spent time in Turkey on loan with Corum FK during the 2023-24 season. He returned to FC Shkupi after that loan ended before eventually making the move to Dunajska Streda.
