Bernard Somuah scores first La Liga 2 goal in Celta Fortuna 4-2 win

Bernard Somuah scored his first La Liga 2 goal as Celta Fortuna recovered from two goals down to beat FC Andorra 4-2 on Monday.

Bernard Somuah scored his first La Liga 2 goal of the 2026/27 season as Celta Fortuna overturned a two-goal deficit to defeat FC Andorra 4-2 on Monday evening. The result gave the newly promoted side all three points in the Spanish second tier.

Celta Fortuna were struggling after falling 2-0 behind, but Somuah’s finish started the recovery. The Ghanaian attacker met a low delivery from the right inside the box and placed his effort beyond the goalkeeper to reduce the gap.

The goal brought Celta Fortuna back into the contest and provided the platform for the home side to complete the comeback. They went on to score three more times and secure a 4-2 victory over Andorra.

For Somuah, the goal was his first since moving into La Liga 2 with Celta Fortuna. He played an important role in the club’s promotion campaign last season, when the team achieved a historic rise to Spain’s second division.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward recorded 10 goals and assists during the 2025/26 campaign. His contribution helped establish him as one of Celta Fortuna’s key attacking players, while his performances also earned him the number seven shirt for the new season.

Somuah’s early impact at the higher level adds to his importance for a side adjusting to La Liga 2. His pace, attacking movement and ability to produce in the penalty area were central to his first second-tier goal, which helped turn a difficult home match into a 4-2 win.
