BoMac predicts Conor Benn will stop Ryan Garcia in upcoming fight
Terence Crawford's trainer Brian McIntyre believes Conor Benn will secure a stoppage victory against Ryan Garcia next month in Las Vegas.
Brian 'BoMac' McIntyre has predicted that Conor Benn will stop Ryan Garcia in their upcoming welterweight world title fight. The trainer of Terence Crawford believes the British fighter will secure a stoppage victory against the WBC champion.
Speaking on The Last Stand Podcast, McIntyre stated that Benn is likely to end Garcia's reign in an emphatic manner. He suggested that Garcia has not returned to his previous form following his initial bout with Devin Haney. McIntyre claimed he has seen Benn compete in person and believes the challenger will destroy Garcia.
Garcia's recent career has been marked by significant fluctuations. His victory over Devin Haney was later changed to a no-contest following a failed drug test. After serving a one-year ban, Garcia suffered a loss to Rolando Romero while attempting to claim the WBA welterweight world title.
Garcia regained momentum in February when he defeated Mario Barrios to win his first world title. He is now preparing for his first defense of the WBC welterweight championship against Benn, who is considered a controversial mandatory challenger.
The welterweight title fight is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event also features a cruiserweight co-main event between Jai Opetaia and Noel Mikaelian.
