Boxing: Serrano defends WBA and WBO belts against Manzur in 2026

Amanda Serrano will put her WBA and WBO featherweight titles on the line against Lucrecia Manzur at Temecula’s Pechanga Resort Casino.

Amanda Serrano is scheduled to defend her WBA and WBO featherweight titles against Lucrecia Manzur on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California. The championship bout is set for 12 two-minute rounds, with the main card beginning at 7pm ET.

Serrano enters the fight with a 49-4-1 record and 32 knockouts. She weighed 125.6 pounds, or 57.0 kilograms, at the official weigh-in, while Manzur came in at 125.8 pounds, or 57.1 kilograms.

The Puerto Rican champion is known for applying pressure through combinations, working the body and making opponents pay when they give her room to attack. Manzur’s task will centre on maintaining her jab, moving effectively and finding opportunities to counter before Serrano can establish her position and throw in combination.

The main-event ring walks are expected at about 11:30pm ET, although that timing can change depending on the length of the earlier bouts. The preliminary action is scheduled for 6:15pm ET, with the undercard following before Serrano and Manzur headline the event.

The full card will be available through MVP, Jake Paul’s TikTok channel and his YouTube channel, while the preliminary bouts will also be shown on YouTube. The supporting programme includes Jahmal Harvey against Hammet Keb, Mayelli Flores versus Melissa Mortensen for the vacant WBA super bantamweight title, and fights involving Avious Griffin, Jully Poca, Keno Marley, Lupita Medina and Nelvie Tiafack.

Serrano’s total of 32 knockouts is also a notable part of the occasion. MVP has identified another stoppage as the result that would move her past Christy Martin’s women’s boxing knockout mark, adding an individual milestone to her defence of the two featherweight belts.
