Chavarría’s girlfriend weighs Madrid-London move after Chelsea deal

Pawgli, the girlfriend of new Chelsea signing Pep Chavarría, is considering whether to leave Madrid for London after the defender’s £18m move. The Spanish influencer became emotional while discussing the effect the decision could have on her career and personal life.

Her work is closely tied to Madrid, where she manages brand partnerships, attends regular events and has built a Spanish-speaking audience. She said relocating would mean surrendering a significant part of that professional progress, which she has spent considerable time establishing.

Pawgli also made clear that she wants to remain financially independent. Chavarría has his own career and income, while she wants to continue earning through her projects rather than rely on her partner after moving to England.

The possible move would also take her away from her sister, wider family and friends. Pawgli described her current life in Madrid as one she feels fortunate to have created, making the prospect of starting again in London particularly difficult despite her happiness for Chavarría’s opportunity.

She is therefore weighing a long-distance relationship as an alternative to moving immediately. Pawgli said the situation has caused her to panic because she would be leaving behind both the people close to her and the professional environment that supports her work.

Language is another challenge she identified. Pawgli does not currently speak English, although she recognises that learning it would be necessary if she eventually joins Chavarría in London. Her decision remains tied to finding a way to support his Chelsea career without abandoning the work and audience she has developed in Spain.
