GFA completes fencing of 64.25-acre Ghanaman Soccer Centre site

The Ghana Football Association has secured the 64.25-acre GSCE property after a prolonged legal dispute and completed a wall around the land.

The Ghana Football Association has completed fencing work around the 64.25-acre property that houses the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE), following a prolonged legal dispute over ownership. The association has also secured the land and built a new main entrance at the facility.

GFA president Kurt Okraku announced the development at Congress on Thursday, saying the entire property had now been enclosed. The completed boundary wall defines the limits of the centre and gives the association greater control over the site.

The land dispute had left the ownership of the property contested for an extended period. With the legal process concluded in the GFA’s favour, the association has moved to protect the centre physically and preserve the 64.25-acre site for football-related use.

The new block wall surrounds the full Ghanaman property, while the additional entrance is intended to improve access to the facility. Together, the two projects form part of the GFA’s efforts to protect and improve Ghana’s football infrastructure.

The GSCE remains one of Ghana’s main facilities for football development and related activities. Securing its boundaries is expected to help prevent encroachment and maintain the centre as a dedicated home for those functions.

The fencing project also gives the GFA a clearly defined property after years of uncertainty over the land. The association’s announcement focused on ownership, protection of the site and improved access rather than on any new sporting programme at the centre.
