GFA confirms Zone 1 venues for 2026/27 Division One League
The GFA has approved home venues for all Zone 1 clubs before the 2026/27 Division One League begins on September 18, 2026.
The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the home venues for clubs in Zone 1 of the 2026/27 Division One League. The placements cover both Zone 1A and Zone 1B before the new campaign starts in September.
Wa Power Sporting Club will play its home matches in Wa, while Sanakara FC will be based in Yendi for its fixtures. Four clubs in the section — Steadfast FC, Real Tamale United, Northern City FC and Tamale City — will all host opponents in Tamale.
Berekum City has also been assigned Tamale as its home venue in Zone 1A. Kalibi SC, meanwhile, will welcome visiting teams in Wa, giving the zone two clubs with home arrangements in that city.
Zone 1B includes five different venue locations. Yapei United will play at home in Buipe, while Techiman Eleven Wonders will use Techiman. Bactero Sassan FC and K.A.C. Academy will both host their matches in Sunyani, with Dormaa United FC based in Dormaa and Might Royals playing in Wamfie.
The league is scheduled to open between September 18 and 21, 2026. The campaign will run for 30 weeks and is due to conclude on May 24, 2027, with the participating clubs competing for promotion and the division’s leading honours.
The venue confirmation gives each Zone 1 club a designated location for its home programme before the season begins. The arrangements also establish Tamale, Wa and Sunyani as shared home bases for multiple teams in the two sections.
