GFA sets Match Commissioners workshop before Ghana Premier League 2026/27
The GFA will hold a one-day workshop for Ghana Premier League Match Commissioners in Accra on September 2, ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Ghana Football Association will organise a one-day workshop for Ghana Premier League Match Commissioners on September 2, 2026, as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season.
The session will take place at the conference room of the GFA Secretariat in Accra. It is intended to prepare the officials for their responsibilities across the new Premier League campaign.
The programme will address changes to the Laws of the Game, updates to competition rules and other amendments affecting match administration. These areas are designed to give commissioners the current knowledge required to oversee fixtures properly.
The officials will also receive guidance on conduct, matchday procedures and the standards expected in their work. Particular attention will be given to professionalism, discipline, accuracy and compliance with GFA processes.
Match Commissioners will be expected to apply the guidance before, during and after matches. Their duties include supporting consistent oversight of Premier League fixtures throughout the season, making the workshop an important part of the association’s preparations.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin between September 4 and 7, 2026. It is due to conclude between May 28 and 31, 2027, giving the trained commissioners a clear schedule for the campaign ahead.
