Gregory Rodrigues defeated Anthony Hernandez by unanimous decision in the UFC Sacramento main event at Golden 1 Center, with the judges scoring the contest 48-47, 49-46 and 48-47 for the Brazilian. Rodrigues and Hernandez also received bonuses after their five-round middleweight bout.
Rodrigues established his approach early by attacking Hernandez’s body and legs. Hernandez answered with significant strikes of his own and remained competitive through the final round, but Rodrigues maintained the greater consistency and aggression to secure the verdict.
Vitor Petrino won the co-main event against Serghei Spivac, taking a unanimous decision by three 30-27 scorecards. The Brazilian’s victory came in his 10th UFC appearance, while Spivac used a cautious, technical approach and avoided taking major risks during the fight.
Reinier de Ridder made a winning debut in the UFC light heavyweight division by stopping Roman Dolidze at 4:01 of the opening round. Dolidze initially sought leg-lock opportunities, but de Ridder answered with forceful striking, brought the Georgian to the ground and finished the contest with punches.
MarQuel Mederos stopped Mason Jones at 2:07 of the second round in their lightweight bout. Jones had periods in which he appeared to control the contest, but Mederos found accurate punches that shook him. Referee Jason Herzog ended the fight after Jones appeared unable to withstand further punishment.
Carli Judice needed 1:39 of the first round to defeat Jeisla Chaves by technical knockout, using powerful body kicks to dominate the Brazilian. Anthony Wint, an NFL player making his UFC debut, completed the other early finish by submitting Terrance Chatman with an armbar at 4:29 of round one.
