Gubbio beat Pineto 2-1 to advance in Coppa Italia Serie C

Ghanaian forward Amoako Minta scored the winning goal as Gubbio defeated Pineto 2-1 in the first round of the Coppa Italia Serie C.

Gubbio secured a 2-1 victory over Pineto to progress in the first round of the Coppa Italia Serie C. Ghanaian attacker Amoako Minta scored the decisive goal to ensure the visitors moved forward in the competition.

The match began with Gubbio taking control of the play. Oumar Barry opened the scoring in the 18th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Gubbio maintained this advantage through the remainder of the first half as Pineto found it difficult to create scoring opportunities.

Pineto responded quickly after the interval. Marco Delle Monache scored just two minutes after the restart to level the match at 1-1. This goal altered the momentum of the contest, leading to a period where both teams sought a winning goal.

Gubbio regained the lead in the 74th minute through Amoako Minta. His strike proved to be the winner in a competitive encounter. Although Pineto increased their attacking pressure during the final minutes of the game, they were unable to find a second equaliser.

Minta's performance earned him recognition from supporters, as he was named a top player in a fan vote. He shared 22 percent of the vote with his teammate Oumar Barry. The Ghanaian forward's contribution was the central factor in Gubbio's advancement.
