Hardrock appeal rejected as Dynamos’ 2-1 Zimbabwe PSL win stands

Hardrock’s appeal against the disciplinary ruling involving Dynamos has been dismissed, leaving the Zimbabwe PSL match result at 2-1.

Hardrock’s appeal against the disciplinary ruling involving Dynamos has been dismissed, leaving Dynamos’ 2-1 victory in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League intact. The decision means the result from the match remains Hardrock 1-2 Dynamos.

The Zifa Appeals Committee delivered its verdict on July 30, after examining the grounds raised by Hardrock. It found that the arguments did not provide a sufficient basis for setting aside the earlier decision of the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee.

That initial ruling was made on June 30 in a case involving the two clubs. The appeal process had kept the status of the completed fixture under challenge, but the latest decision confirms that Dynamos retain the points from their win.

The result is significant for Hardrock’s position near the top of the 2026 league table. They are second with 51 points from 26 matches, having won 15, drawn six and lost five. Their record includes 44 goals scored and 17 conceded.

Hardrock’s recent form had included wins over Ngezi Platinum, Agama and Herentals, but the 2-1 defeat by Dynamos was one of two losses in their last five matches. The other came at home against Triangle United, also by a 2-1 scoreline.

With the appeal dismissed, the disciplinary matter involving the Dynamos fixture has reached its conclusion. Hardrock’s next league match is away to Hunters on August 22, 2026.
