Héctor Fort seeks Premier League move as Barcelona exit nears

Barcelona defender Héctor Fort is expected to leave the club this summer, with the 20-year-old targeting a permanent transfer to the Premier League.

Barcelona defender Héctor Fort is expected to leave the Camp Nou before the end of the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old right-back has accepted that he is not part of Hansi Flick's immediate plans and is looking for a permanent exit.

Fort is reportedly interested in a move to the Premier League, viewing the English top flight as the ideal destination due to its sporting appeal and financial potential. While Everton, Fulham, and Liverpool have all been linked to the defender, Everton is currently considered to be ahead of the other clubs in the pursuit of the right-back.

Barcelona has placed a valuation of €15m to €20m on the player. Although no formal offers have been submitted yet, the requirement for a permanent sale has limited interest from La Liga clubs. The financial capacity of Premier League teams makes them the primary candidates for a deal.

Neither the player nor the club views a loan move as a suitable solution. Barcelona is working alongside Fort's agent to facilitate a permanent transfer, though the Catalan club intends to protect its future interests. They are seeking to include a buy-back clause or retain a significant percentage of the player's rights, regardless of which club eventually signs him.

Everton continues its search for a right-back this summer, and the opportunity to sign Fort remains open as both the player and Barcelona actively work toward a resolution.
