Hwange beat Imbizo 4-0 as Talen Vision edge Zebra Revolution

Hwange defeated Imbizo 4-0 in Match Day 23 of the Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League, while Talen Vision and Megawatt won 1-0.

Hwange defeated Imbizo 4-0 in Match Day 23 of the Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League on Saturday. Talen Vision beat Zebra Revolution 1-0, while Megawatt recorded the same score against Njube Spurs in the day’s other matches.

Hwange’s four-goal success was the standout result of the Southern Region programme. The coal-mining town side claimed all three points in a one-sided contest and strengthened the impression that it intends to remain involved in the league race as the campaign moves forward.

The margin also separated Hwange’s performance from the two narrow victories recorded elsewhere. Their attacking output provided the clearest result of the three fixtures, with Imbizo unable to prevent the home side from completing a comfortable win on Match Day 23.

Talen Vision had to work through a much tighter game before securing its points against Zebra Revolution. A single goal settled that fixture, leaving Talen Vision with a 1-0 victory and keeping the result in contrast with Hwange’s emphatic triumph.

Megawatt also took the maximum points from a close encounter, defeating Njube Spurs 1-0. That match, like the Talen Vision fixture, was one of the 12pm kick-offs, while Hwange’s win added further weight to the afternoon’s results.

The three victories increased the significance of Saturday’s programme in an increasingly competitive Southern Region campaign. Hwange, Talen Vision and Megawatt all collected three points, while Imbizo, Zebra Revolution and Njube Spurs left their respective matches without a point. With the season moving into its decisive stages, each result adds to the pressure surrounding the league race.
