Ian Machado Garry dismisses social media hate ahead of UFC 330

Ian Machado Garry claims online negativity is fake as he prepares to challenge Islam Makhachev for the UFC welterweight title at UFC 330.

Ian Machado Garry has dismissed the online criticism directed at him as fake ahead of his title fight at UFC 330. The Irishman is scheduled to face Islam Makhachev for the UFC welterweight championship on August 15.

Despite facing significant negativity on social media regarding his personality, views, and relationships, Garry maintains that the hostility does not reflect reality. He stated that the criticism is a pantomime that exists only in a digital world rather than the real one.

The 28-year-old noted that his personal interactions in cities such as Dublin, Philadelphia, London, and various locations in Brazil consist only of appreciation and joy. He claimed that no one has approached him in person to express negative sentiments.

Garry emphasized that his current environment is focused on preparation for the biggest fight of his career. He reported that there is no negativity within his camp, where he is spending time with his family and team.

The welterweight title bout between Garry and Makhachev serves as the main event of the card at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event features an 11-fight undercard alongside the championship match.
