Johnson, Wells collect $100,000 Performance bonuses at UFC 330

Charles Johnson and Jeremiah Wells each received $100,000 Performance of the Night bonuses at UFC 330. Four fighters took home that amount, while the event had no Fight of the Night award.

Johnson secured his bonus by submitting Eduardo Chapolin with a Scottish Twister. The finish marked the first successful use of that specific variation in UFC competition, giving the Philadelphia card a notable submission milestone.

Wells also finished his opponent, recording a technical submission against Myktybek Orolbai. The result carried particular significance for the event because Wells was the only fighter from Philadelphia on the card. He was also nearing the age of 40 when he earned the bonus.

The other two $100,000 awards went to Dustin Stoltzfus and Jalin Turner. Stoltzfus submitted Mansur Abdul-Malik in an upset on the main card, while Turner stopped Kaue Fernandes by knockout after 39 seconds in the following bout.

Four additional finishers received $25,000 bonuses: Esteban Ribovics, Donte Johnson, Lucas Fernando and Neil Magny. The bonuses ensured the event’s biggest individual payouts came from fights outside the two title bouts that closed the night.

UFC 330 was the promotion’s first Philadelphia event since 2019. Islam Makhachev and Mackenzie Dern retained their titles in the headline fights. The card drew a gate of $6.7 million and attendance of 19,238, with the gate setting a record at the Xfinity Mobile Arena by $2.2 million.
