Ribovics targets Barboza at UFC 330 after intense training camp

Esteban Ribovics has expressed his readiness for his upcoming bout against Edson Barboza at UFC 330. Speaking during the media day in Philadelphia, the fighter with a 15-3 record noted that his camp was specifically designed to prepare for this matchup.

Ribovics highlighted the quality of his preparation, mentioning that one of his training partners is the individual who sparred with Justin Gaethje and helped prepare Ilia Topuria. He described this partner as his own person to rely on during his training cycle.

The fighter reflected on the long history of his opponent, noting that Barboza was already a veteran with seven years of professional experience when Ribovics made his own debut 11 years ago. At that time, Barboza was competing against Tony Ferguson. Ribovics admitted he always believed a fight between the two was a possibility.

Ribovics shared a personal philosophy regarding his career progression, stating that he aims to train with enough intensity so that the fighters he once admired become his opponents. He said he takes this mindset to heart and feels it is currently being realized in his career.
