Kelvin Boateng goal helps Austria Wien beat Beitar Jerusalem

Ghanaian forward Kelvin Boateng scored a vital goal as Austria Wien overcame Beitar Jerusalem on penalties to advance in the Conference League.

Kelvin Boateng scored a crucial goal to help Austria Wien progress past Beitar Jerusalem in the UEFA Conference League qualifier. After the match ended 3-3 on aggregate, Austria Wien won the subsequent penalty shootout 4-2.

Beitar Jerusalem held a significant advantage during the match at the Generali Arena. Omer Atzili opened the scoring for the visitors in the 32nd minute, and Johnbosco Samuel Kalu added a second goal shortly after the halftime break.

Austria Wien responded quickly to the deficit. Boateng found the net in the 58th minute to bring the score closer, a strike that occurred just two minutes after Kalu's goal. The Ghanaian forward played until the 72nd minute before being substituted for Hasan Deshishku.

Despite the momentum shift, the match remained deadlocked through the end of regulation and extra time. Beitar Jerusalem had won the first leg 2-1, meaning the aggregate score remained level at 3-3 at the final whistle.

Austria Wien secured their place in the next round through the penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Samuel Sahin-Radlinger earned the player of the match award for his performance during the contest.
