Matteo Ruggeri joins Atlético Madrid from Atalanta in €17m move

Atlético Madrid have confirmed the signing of Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta for €17 million during the 2025/26 campaign. The 24-year-old Italian arrives as a left-back and is now listed as an Atlético Madrid player.

Ruggeri’s move completes a second spell of progression away from Atalanta. He first left the club for Salernitana in 2021/22 and also returned to Atalanta from Salernitana during the same campaign.
