Millwall sign English-Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu on deal

Millwall have signed 27-year-old English-Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu from Bolton Wanderers through the end of 2026/27.

Millwall have completed the signing of English-Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu on a contract that runs until the end of the 2026/27 season. The 27-year-old joins from Bolton Wanderers after spending two weeks training with the Lions before the move was finalised.

Osei-Tutu played a significant part in Bolton’s successful League One play-off campaign last season. He featured 42 times in all competitions and scored four goals as the club secured promotion.

The defender is primarily a right-back, but his ability to operate on both sides of the defence gives Millwall another option across the full-back positions. His arrival strengthens the club’s defensive depth ahead of the new campaign.

Osei-Tutu came through Arsenal’s academy before building senior experience with several loan moves. His temporary spells included Bochum, Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest and Rotherham United.

He later made his move to Bochum permanent and also spent time on loan at Greek club Ioannina. His next step took him to Bolton, where his performances during the promotion campaign helped establish him as an important member of the team.

Millwall director of football Steve Gallen described Osei-Tutu as an experienced full-back with pace and strong one-on-one defensive ability. Gallen also said the new signing would offer cover at both right-back and left-back, giving Millwall added flexibility in defence.
