Mkhulise warns Sundowns of difficult Chiefs challenge

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise has warned that his side faces a significant challenge against Kaizer Chiefs following the Soweto giants' perfect start to the season. Chiefs have secured six points from their opening two matches to sit at the top of the league standings.

Mkhulise noted that while Sundowns often hold the advantage in matches against their rivals, the current form of Chiefs makes a victory uncertain. He stated that the team is prepared to perform for their supporters and acknowledged that the opposition is currently playing very well in the league.

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder is coming off a productive performance in Sundowns' recent league opener. He scored the decisive goal in a 3-2 victory against TS Galaxy in Mbombela on Tuesday night. This result follows a consecutive winning run for the Tshwane giants, who also secured success in the MTN8.

Mkhulise emphasised the importance of mental resilience and maintaining focus throughout the duration of a match. He suggested that the squad's ability to keep fighting and believing until the final whistle is essential for their progress.
