New Bullets coaches await work permits before joining technical team

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ new coaches Lemekani Mwanza and Donewell Yobe are still waiting for work permits before they can begin their official duties at the Malawi club. The delay has kept both members of the incoming technical team from joining the coaching set-up despite their arrival in the country last week.

Mwanza has been appointed as a data analyst, while Yobe is set to work as an assistant coach. Both were recruited to support head coach Wedson Nyirenda as Bullets seek to add to their technical staff during the ongoing campaign.

The club is awaiting documentation from government authorities before the pair can formally start their roles. Bullets chief executive officer Albert Chigoga confirmed that the required clearance had not yet been issued.

The hold-up has been described by the club as an administrative step linked to immigration rules, rather than a problem involving either coach. Chigoga indicated that such procedures apply to foreign workers entering the country and that the delay does not represent a specific concern about Mwanza or Yobe.

Bullets remain hopeful that the permits will be approved as early as next week. That would allow the two coaches to begin working with Nyirenda’s panel and become involved in the club’s campaign without a longer interruption after their arrival.

Until the clearance is completed, however, Mwanza and Yobe cannot officially perform the duties for which they were hired. Their integration into the Bullets technical structure therefore remains dependent on the government approval still being processed.
