FC Nordsjaelland have signed Ghanaian defender Jamal Sudais from Right to Dream Academy on a five-year contract. The 18-year-old will join the Danish Superliga club during the summer transfer window.
Sudais first linked up with Nordsjaelland during the club’s winter training camp in Estepona. He then waited until August to complete his professional move and secure a long-term agreement with the club.
The defender has been part of the Right to Dream system since he was 10. His move continues the academy’s established relationship with Nordsjaelland, which has welcomed a long list of Ghanaian players from the programme.
Sudais is expected to settle quickly because of his existing links with the club and its playing methods. He has also set the ambition of becoming one of Nordsjaelland’s leading players and earning a place among those remembered by the supporters.
Nordsjaelland football director Alex Riget identified Sudais as a left-footed centre-back with strong technical qualities. He highlighted the teenager’s ability to play forward passes, compete in aerial situations and handle physical duels.
Riget also outlined the next stages of Sudais’ development. The defender must bring greater consistency to his performances, improve his understanding of collective defending and become fully accustomed to Nordsjaelland’s style. He will begin that process with the club’s Under-19 team, working under its coaches as he continues his development.
